F.B.M. founders go their separate ways each founding their own company. Vittorio Minarelli founds F.B.Minarelli (Later Motori Minarelli) and Franco Morini establishes Morini Franco Motori.

Italtelai is established near Bologna, Italy and begins building mopeds with Morini Franco Motori engines for export. AKA: Italtelai – SAS Di Piazza Silvano & C.
Location of the Morini Franco Motori and Italtelai companies.
Portofino International, Inc. begins importing mopeds from Italtelai and begins selling them under the brand name, Pacer.
Pacer mopeds came in three different models.
Pacer Deluxe
Pacer Sport
Pacer Super Sport
Portofino International, Inc. becomes Portofino Moped & Bicycle International, Inc. and moves to 495 Smith St, Farmingdale New York.
PMBI sells the Pacer name and inventory to Aeon International Corporation, AIC, at 2165 Fifth Ave, Ronkonkoma, New York

Parts and bikes are still available in the US from dealers but are no longer being imported.
While Pacer Mopeds are no longer being manufactured, They are still being enjoyed all over the US by enthusiastic vintage moped riders such as, The Wandering Pacer.
